Visitors to Ilford's famous Exchange Shopping Mall, can expect a free fun day and mini-market this Saturday 11th October 2014.  Project Exchange Enterprise co-ordinated by Sofia Hubs and Redbridge leisure are offering a month long free business hub which is hopefully a prelude to a longer term version.  The hub provides business owners with free access to a private meeting room and IT suite to bolster new and small businesses.

Today a request was made to the East Ilford Betterment Partnership to help launch the centre to the wider business and residential community.  In a few hours we have co-ordinated an experimental activity which will have a variety of stalls selling goods, some children's activities and a few community stalls including Anti-knife UK.  Funds raised will go towards the cost of installation of a replica of the "Ilford Mammoth" skull found locally in 1864.

A quiz on Mammoths will keep children entertained and an art competition will yield the winner a miniature mammoth.  There will also be some face-painting and lots of other things to do.

Wilson Chowdhry the event organiser will be playing some contemporary music on his decks to really create a lively atmosphere.  The event will be repeated next week with a bouncy castle and some live performances.

Wilson Chowdhry said;

"When asked to put on an event in the prestigious Ilford Exchange, I felt obliged to get involved.  The business hub will bolster local businesses and that can only help improve overall quality of life.  This is what our group is all about!"

He added;

"Tomorrow we will have a few surprises that people simply do not want to miss.  It is time to change plans and come along for some real fun."
