Partnering with a group called Private Tuition Specialists, East Ilford Betterment Partnership is offering a free tuition place to one child at our community centre every Wednesday for a year. We will fully sponsor the child's training at the centre for a family with a proven level of financial hardship. The offer will be based on either proven learning excellence or a learning difficulty.

Private Tuition Specialists provide English and maths tuition for KS1, KS2, KS3 and GCSE levels. They are passionate about providing tuition through bespoke teaching methodologies using specialist software, multi-sensory teaching strategies and structured programmes.

Private Tuition Specialists
take pride in the philosophy of valuing each child as an individual, as well as part of a community. Therefore, they aim to provide students with as many learning opportunities and experiences as possible in order to engage, motivate and equip them with the skills necessary for independence.

Their approach to teaching is multi-sensory and ensures the student's learning preference is taken into consideration. They recognise that an appropriate, balanced, challenging and creative teaching style is essential in developing children's skills, knowledge and understanding; these all underpin personalised learning.

'We are passionate about making a unique learning experience accessible to all learners.'

This sponsorship is to give a child and a family access to specialist tuition to enable them to develop their English and maths skills and to try and reach their true potential. Through our child sponsorship programme we can make a difference not only to a child's learning and academic progression but also their confidence and social development.

The tuition service is already sponsoring 1 student who is dyslexic and from a background of financial hardship and now BACA are able to offer one other child a similar benefit.

Our priority candidates need to be able to evidence that due to financial hardship, they cannot fund much needed support to bolster a proven excellence in education, or will have a recognised learning challenge and require the help of a tuition centre with adaptive learning techniques to encourage learning.

Wilson Chowdhry, Chairman of the EIBP, said:

"As a group we are passionate about tackling poverty in Ilford and this opportunity gives a young child a real chance at success.

"A good education opens up pathways to numerous careers and this grassroot level intervention could be the catalyst for great things.

"The offer is open to children of all ages that meet the criteria the final decision on who gets the sponsorship will be decided by both EIBP and Private Tuition Specialists.
